NEST Technical Advisory Group
NEST Technical Advisory Group
In 2025, a Technical Advisory Group has been established, specifically dedicated to the NEST Model evolution and adaptability to different contexts.
The NEST TAG is composed of experts from key fields such as scientific research, clinical practice, and education.
Its role is to provide strategic recommendations for improving the quality and effectiveness of the NEST Model, supporting the development of guidelines, and ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s mission.
The TAG represents a central element in transforming the Paolo Chiesi Foundation from a granting entity to a catalyst for ideas, expertise, and resources. In particular, the NEST Model is currently implemented in countries such as Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ivory Coast, and Togo, and the TAG contributes to ensuring its adaptability and sustainability.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the NEST Technical Advisory Group encompass providing strategic recommendations for the NEST Model, monitoring its quality, and evaluating its impact. Additional duties include ensuring the development of training and skills, advocating for the model’s broader implementation, and disseminating relevant insights.
The group also advises on integrating technological and medical innovations into the framework and offers guidance on establishing partnerships that align with the Foundation’s mission.
Way of Working
The group convenes for three online meetings and one in-person meeting annually. Participation is entirely voluntary, and members serve a term of two years, subject to renewal upon mutual agreement.
It is important to note that members do not hold decision-making authority over fund allocation or budgets, nor do they maintain any direct or personal commercial or financial ties with the Foundation. These measures are designed to ensure integrity and impartiality in the group’s advisory role.
